Hurricane Update

1:00 pm local time – Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Club Cascadas was not effected by Tropical Depression Rick, which altered its course considerably and is currently 282 miles north east of Cabo San Lucas. A tropical storm warning remains in effect in Cabo San Lucas and parts of Baja California Sur. (See www.stormpulse.com/pacific for graphics and details).

At this time, the San Jose del Cabo airport remains open but travelers are advised to check with their carriers regarding possible delays or cancellations.

4:30 pm local time – Monday, October 19, 2009

Club Cascadas is preparing for Hurricane Rick, which is currently 325 miles south west of Cabo San Lucas. This Category 2 hurricane is expected to continue weakening, but could hit or pass just offshore of Los Cabos, at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, as a Category 1 hurricane by Wednesday, 10/21/09.
